Rise of the Underworlds

Rise of the Underworlds combined a classic 1940’s film noir with steampunk, creating an exciting new genre - Punk Noir. The tension filled piece plays out in three diverse locations across the vast world of Runeterra - a mysterious dive bar in Zaun, the desolate expanse of the Shuriman desert and aboard a Bilgewater pirate ship. Inspired by the drama of the cloak-and-dagger genre, we employ low-key lighting with a heavy atmosphere in the bar, epic scale and high contrast in the desert, and a dark horror vibe on the pirate ship.
